Our leases sit on the protected waters of Wagonga Inlet on the NSW South Coast. We aren’t a distant corporation — we are locals who live and work here, raising families and relying on this inlet just like everyone else.
Narooma · Family Owned Oyster Farm
Narooma Oysters Pty Ltd is a locally owned and operated oyster farm on the waters of Wagonga Inlet, NSW. We grow premium Sydney Rock Oysters using low-impact, environmentally responsible farming methods that protect the inlet for generations to come.
We live here, work here, and care deeply about the water that grows every oyster we sell.
Narooma Oysters is a small, hands-on oyster farm based on Wagonga Inlet. As locals, we understand that the health of the inlet and the strength of our community go hand in hand.
Our leases sit on the protected waters of Wagonga Inlet on the NSW South Coast. We aren’t a distant corporation — we are locals who live and work here, raising families and relying on this inlet just like everyone else.
From juvenile spat to harvest, every oyster is handled with care. We specialise in Sydney Rock Oysters, grown slowly in clean tidal water and graded by hand so only our best oysters reach your plate.
The inlet is our most important asset. Our farming methods are designed around protecting water quality and supporting a healthy estuary ecosystem.
We use gear designed to minimise disturbance to the seabed and surrounding habitat.
Our oysters are grown naturally in tidal estuary water, with no chemical treatments.
Oysters naturally filter the water they live in, improving clarity and supporting marine life.
Narooma Oysters is owned and operated by locals who are on the water every week. This is not just a business — it’s their backyard.
From cleaning gear and checking spat to grading and packing orders, the work is done by the same people whose names are on the business. That’s how we keep quality and consistency high.
When you deal with Narooma Oysters, you’re talking directly to the people who grew the oysters in front of you.
Grown slowly in clean tidal water, our oysters reflect the character of Wagonga Inlet — clean, briny and distinctly coastal.
Each oyster is shaped by the tides and seasons of the inlet. We hand-grade to size and quality, ensuring a consistent product whether you’re enjoying them at home or serving them on a menu.
